What is uninterrupted power supply

Uninterrupted power supply (UPS) is a device that allows a security device, network device or a computer system to keep running for at least 1-4 hours when the primary power is lost. UPS devices also provide protection from power surges

A UPS contains a battery that will start working immediately, when the device senses a loss of power from the primary power source. If the wifi modem is working when there is a power loss, it will still continue to be operational until Eskom's power supply is back online. You will be able to complete your online order and send emails while the power is out. When power surges occur, the mini UPS intercepts the surge so that it does not damage your devices.

Advantages

• People can choose the type and size of UPS, depending on the power needs of their device

• No need for professional installation of mini UPS

• Mini UPS have less noise than other bigger UPS's

• Mini UPS is more cost effective than generators or large UPS systems
